Heat Advisory Extended to Saturday

Drink plenty of fluids and stay indoors if you can.

According to the National Weather Service, the Heat Advisory issued for the entire tri-state area has been extended to Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – It is going to be a hot week in Eagle Country.  

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the tri-state area from noon today until 8:00 p.m. on Friday.  

A prolonged period of dangerously hot conditions is expected with heat index values near 100 degrees each day.  

According to the NWS, hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.  

Make sure to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.  

Take extra precautions when outside by wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing and try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.  

Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
