(Harrison, Oh.) – The City of Harrison has received a generous grant to support future development of the former Quarry Site.
Duke Energy has awarded Harrison a $10,000 grant as part of its 2024 Site Readiness Program.
The funding will enhance the development potential of the former quarry site just north of the Dry Fork Road interchange.
This site totals approximately 210 acres and is emerging from reclamation activity. This site has potential for up to four ingress/egress locations with two directly connected to I-74 Exit 3 and Dry Fork Rd. The entire site is within one mile of interchange slated for an overpass expansion to five lanes in 2026 (ODOT-OKI). Industrial zoning is over the entire proposed development area with historical industrial use. The site is bounded by roadways, interstate, and industrial uses on three sides.
