(Harrison, Oh.) – A local educator has been recognized for her dedication to helping improve the lives of her students.
On Monday, Jamie Johnson was announced as Southwest Local School District’s Teacher of the Year by the Hamilton County Education Service Center.
Johnson is an intervention specialist at William Henry Harrison High School.
"She was nominated for the award because of her incredible commitment to the students and community of Southwest Local, and for her desire to see all students succeed in high school and to graduate with the ability to be college-bound or gainfully employed,” said Ginny Hizer, SLSD Director of Communication.
