Those are just a couple questions City of Harrison residents may be asking in the future as City Council is considering golf cart legislation.
Harrison City Council held a public hearing last week to discuss legislation that would permit under-speed, low-speed and utility vehicles to operate on city roadways with speed limits less than 25 MPH.
The legislation would require vehicles to possess safety equipment such as headlights, brake lights, horns, and rearview mirrors.
Under the proposal, the operator must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
Regulated vehicles must be operated in accordance with all State of Ohio traffic laws.
Council could pass the legislation at their July 7 meeting at 7:30 p.m.
