Hamilton County Sees 10 Overdoses In 24-Hour Period

There is no word yet on what might be causing the spike in overdoses.

(Hamilton County, Oh.) – A spike in overdoses has health officials in Hamilton County concerned.

Hamilton County officials with the Hamilton County Heroin Coalition said there were 10 overdoses between Wednesday and Thursday, reports WLWT-TV.

Health officials did not give out a specific reason for the recent spike. However, it is likely that a potent composition of illicit drugs has hit the streets.

A warning has been issued for Hamilton County to increase awareness and advise first responders, health care providers and substance users and their families of the increased risk for overdose in the community.
