Greendale Police Warn Citizens of Apple Care Scam

Scammers are posing as AppleCare representatives.

(Greendale, Ind.) - Greendale Police have received reports from residents that were scammed out of their hard-earned money by an unknown source claiming to be from AppleCare.

AppleCare offers one-stop support and service for all of your Apple products.

Greendale Police are reminding residents that AppleCare will never call or send text messages with links to open asking for money. Anyone who receives such a link, should not open it.

Residents are also reminded to never provide banking information over the phone.

Report any suspicious activity to your local police department. You can also visit www.Ic3.Go v to report the scams to the FBI.
