(Greendale, Ind.) - Greendale Police are warning residents of a new phone scam.
A resident advised the police department on Friday, May 25 that they received a call from a person claiming to be with Publisher’s Clearinghouse and advising they won a sweepstakes.
The scammers attempted to get the resident to send money overnight.
Those receiving a similar call should hang up and never send money.
