Greendale Mayor To Host "I Wish" Meeting

Children and young adults residing in Greendale are invited to share their ideas on how to improve their city.

(Greendale, Ind.) – The City of Greendale is asking children and young adults what their wishes are for the city.

Mayor Alan Weiss will host an “I Wish” meeting on Tuesday, July 23 at the Greendale Cabin.

Two sessions will be held.

The first session will begin at 6:00 p.m. for kids ages 9 to 13. Those age 14 to 18 will be welcomed during the second session at 7:30.

Attendees are encouraged to share their ideas on how to improve the City of Greendale.

“I have invited our children and young adults from Greendale to come and talk to me and give me their ideas of how they would like Greendale to move forward in their view,” said Mayor Weiss. “Another part of this, I’m going to give them real life scenarios of things I’ve had to deal with. I’ll say here’s the scenario, how would you deal with it? I think its going to be a fun night and I’m going to have a gift for each one of them that show up.”

Each session is expected to last approximately 75 minutes.

The event is free to attend.
