BEIJING - Two skiers from Lawrenceburg will come home Olympic medalists.

On Wednesday, Nick Goepper captured the silver medal in the Men's Freeski Slopetyle event. Goepper's second of three runs earned him the silver with a best score of 86.48.

His teammate, Alexander Hall would take the gold with a best score of 90.01.

For Goepper, the silver medal is his third overall medal at the Olympics. He won silver in 2018 and bronze in 2014.

Justin Schoenefeld was impressive in his first trip to the Olympics. He made history last week with Ashley Campbell and Christopher Lillis, winning gold in the inaugural mixed team aerials event.

On Wednesday, Schoenefeld competed in the Men's Aerials Final. He fell just short of medaling, finishing 5th overall.
