(Friendship, Ind.) – The Friendship Volunteer Fire Department has put into service new, life-saving equipment.
On Monday, new stabilization and extrication equipment purchased through a Rising Sun Regional Foundation grant, was put into service.
The stabilization and lifting equipment upgrades the department’s capabilities to rescue, extricate victims of motor vehicle accidents and other scenarios such as being trapped under a log or collapse incidents.
“We would like to thank the Rising Sun Regional Foundation for their continued support of our efforts as we seek to protect the lives our community,” reads a statement from Friendship Volunteer Fire Department.
