(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Former professional football player and Cincinnati fan favorite, Ickey Woods, will be making a special appearance at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg on Sunday, September 10. Ickey will meet and greet with fans and help kickoff the 2023 pro football season with a watch party at Hollywood on the Roof featuring the Cincinnati Bengals versus Cleveland Browns game.

The event begins at 12:30pm and while admission is free, seating is limited, and attendees must be at least 21 years old.

Woods is best remembered for his “Ickey Shuffle” end zone dance, which he performed each time he scored a touchdown. He scored 27 touchdowns in his professional career, which was four full seasons in Cincinnati. In that time, he broke franchise records and went on to be the leading rusher in Super Bowl XXIII where the Bengals lost to the San Francisco 49ers 20-16.

While Woods will meet and greet with fans and take pictures, no sports memorabilia or autograph session will be available this Sunday.

Guests will be able to watch and wager on football all season long at Hollywood Casino. In addition to over 1,300 slot machines, over 90 table games and our Sportsbook, which was named Best Sportsbook in Cincinnati by readers of City Beat magazine, we have several sports betting self-serve kiosks located near Hollywood on the Roof.
