(Aurora, Ind.) - A Florida man is accused of getting into a struggle with police in Aurora.
Officers responded to a report of a man “acting a fool” at a residence on Indiana Avenue last Friday morning, July 5, according to a court affidavit.
Police encountered 19-year-old Dominick Trey-Levi Morris who was allegedly intoxicated.
When officers moved to arrest Morris, he allegedly began to fight with them. He was eventually tased and placed into a police cruiser, but attempted to reposition his handcuffs from behind him to his front.
Morris has been charged with Battery on a Public Safety Official (level 6 felony), Resisting Law Enforcement (class A misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief (class B misdemeanor), and Illegal Possession of Alcohol by a Minor (class C misdemeanor).
