(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg Conservancy District (LCD) will be exercising a U.S. 50 Tanners Creek floodgate closure on Sunday, October 25.
The closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:30 a.m.
During the exercise, LCD will ensure the gate is in good working order for any future high-water events. In addition, new personnel will be trained on the gate closure procedure.
The work is expected to be completed in six to eight hours. The flyover bridge will handle east and westbound traffic during the exercise.
The floodgate closure is being done to meet a requirement set by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
