(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Municipal primary election day in Indiana is just a day away.

The elections for city council, mayor, clerk-treasurer, and city judge nominees in the Hoosier state happens Tuesday, May 7. Democratic and Republican voters residing within the city limits in Aurora, Lawrenceburg, and Greendale have races to decide. It is also an election year in Rising Sun and Batesville, but there are no contested primary races in either city for Tuesday’s party primary election.

Monday is the final day to cast an early ballot in Indiana and Ohio. Early voting in Indiana will be open until noon Monday at your local county courthouse or clerk of courts’ office.

In Ohio, the Hamilton County Board of Elections will keep early voting open until 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.

Election Day polling hours on Tuesday in Indiana will be 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. In Ohio, voting hours on Election Day are 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

In Dearborn County, there is a new election day voting structure voters should know about. County leaders decided earlier this year to implement a new vote centers model. That means there will be one voting place in Aurora at the Park Pavilion, one in Lawrenceburg at the Tate Street Firehouse, and one polling location in Greendale at the Greendale Cabin. Voters in any of those three cities can vote at any of those three vote centers, whether the vote center is in or outside of their city.

“Any registered voter within City limits may vote at any one of these three locations. All locations will have all voter and candidate information,” Dearborn County Clerk of Courts Gayle Pennington explained in February.

Eagle Country 99.3 will have full primary election night coverage from the Dearborn County Government Center in Lawrenceburg. Our coverage of the results will hit the air at 7:00 p.m. Results will also be published on our Indiana Votes 2019 webpage
