UPDATE: Aurora Woman Killed In Friday Morning Hebron Crash

A 45-year-old woman from Aurora died in a crash on North Bend Road over I-275.

Update published at 11:27 a.m.:

Boone County deputies say a woman from Aurora was killed in a crash on North Bend Road over I-275 in Hebron Friday morning. 

The three vehicle crash happened at about 7:00 a.m. Preliminary indications are that David Simon, 55, of Burlington, was driving a 2001 Chrysler Sebring southbound in the left most lane of North Bend Road when his car suddenly and unexpectedly veered left. It crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2001 Pontiac Sunfire and a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado.

The Pontiac flipped onto its top as a result of the collision, ejecting the driver. The victim, currently identified as a 45-year-old woman from Aurora, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Simon was transported to University of Cincinnati medical Center with unknown injuries after being extracted from the wreckage of his car.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck was Stephen McKinley, Jr., 50, of Rising Sun. He was not injured.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. They request anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and provide their rendition of what they observed. Call (859) 334-2175.

(Hebron, Ky.) – A fatal crash was among those which occurred on Interstate 275 near Hebron Friday morning.

Four vehicles were believed to be involved in a crash on I-275 Westbound at the entrance ramp from North Bend Road at around 7:00 a.m.

The coroner was called to the scene as one person was killed in that crash. A second victim was rushed to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Shortly after that crash, there was a second accident on I-275 EB near the entrance ramp from North Bend Road.

A third wreck was reported on I-275 EB at the 5 mile marker. It involved at least one injury.
