UPDATE: Excessive Heat Warning Thursday Through Saturday

The heat index will have us feeling as hot as 105.

The National Weather Service has updated the Excessive Heat Warning to go into effect at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18. It will remain in effect through 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - It’s about to get scorching hot in the tri-state.

The National Weather Service says an Excessive Heat Warning will be in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening.

Temperatures will be in the mid-90s this weekend, however, the heat index will be as high as 105.

Meteorologists say heat stroke, exhaustion, and other heat-related illnesses will be possible for anybody staying outside for a significant amount of time. Be sure to wear light, loose-fitting clothing, take plenty of breaks, and schedule outdoor work for early mornings or evenings.
