(Hebron, Ky.) – An Englishman attempting to make aviation history is planning a stop in Eagle Country.
James Ketchell is attempting to become the first person to circumnavigate the globe solo in an open-cockpit gyrocopter.
While flying over the U.S., Ketchell is planning to land in over 66 cities, including a stop at the DHL CVG hub at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport on Monday, July 29.
Ketchell’s journey began in England on March 31. It could take up to one year before his final return to the country.
If his journey is successful, the gyrocopter will be the last type of aircraft in existence to complete a global circumnavigation.
