A transformer problem resulted in electric being shut off to stores at the River Creek Village Shopping Center in Aurora on Tuesday.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Stores at the River Creek Village shopping center in Aurora had to close briefly Tuesday due to a fire close call.
Aurora Fire Department responded to the shopping center Tuesday afternoon for a reported electrical issue, says chief Jeff Lane.
Duke Energy was called out and diagnosed the problem as a transformer.
Power had to be shut down to a portion of the stores and a nearby fast food restaurant in order for electric crews to make repairs.
Responding with Aurora Fire Department were Lawrenceburg and Greendale fire departments as well as Aurora Life Squad.
