COLUMBUS - On Wednesday, the Ohio Department of Transportation's Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) approved a draft funding list for major new construction projects.

The draft list includes $295.2 million for construction funding on eight projects, $9.1 million for new project development funding on three projects, and $15 million for additional project development funding on three projects.

In total, it’s a $319.3 million investment in 14 projects across the state.

A total of 26 projects applied for funding in this cycle, including a widening project on Dry Fork Road in Harrison. The project would widen the Dry Fork Road (County Road 14) bridge to install left turn lanes onto the eastbound and westbound entrance ramps to Interstate 74.

Other improvements would include widening the westbound exit ramp to improve capacity, widening the eastbound exit ramp, and widening Dry Fork Road south of the interchange.

So far, planning studies, engineering studies, and environmental/NEPA approval have been completed. Detailed design plans are in progress, according to TRAC.

The Dry Fork Road project is classified as Tier 1, which falls under a group of projects recommended for construction during the upcoming four-year construction period.

The public can comment on the draft list by emailing trac@dot.ohio.gov until April 16, 2025. TRAC will vote on the final list at their April 23 meeting.
