Division Of Family Resources Offices Open Once Again To Serve Hoosiers

FSSA continues to encourage online and telephone services for fastest and safest service.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Division of Family Resources (DFR) offices are now open in all 92 counties in Indiana for Hoosiers that prefer in-person service.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) made the decision to reopen the offices this week after closing to the public on March 20 to help contain the spread of COVID-19.

FSSA encourages Hoosiers to continue to apply for food and cash assistance and health coverage benefits and check the status of their application or case online at www.fssabenefits.in.gov or by calling (800) 403-0864.

It is required that DFR staff wear face coverings and take other protective measures to ensure the safety of themselves and the public. It is recommended that all visitors wear masks while inside or around others. Face coverings will be required wherever local mandates are in place.

Local DFR offices can be found at www.in.gov/fssa/dfr/2999.htm. All offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Based on office size and configuration, the number of clients that can be served at the same time may vary.

If there are long lines or waits, the FSSA asks for patience and understanding. Each office has a drop box that allows applicants or clients to drop off any paperwork or documents without requiring entry into the building.
