Disaster Recovery Center To Close Permanently On Saturday

The center was set up in Lawrenceburg last week to assist area residents and businesses affected by flooding earlier this year.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Area residents impacted by flooding earlier this year are running out of time to receive assistance.

The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Lawrenceburg is scheduled to close permanently at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. 

Until then, the DRC will be open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The center was set up a few weeks ago to assist residents and business owners in Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland counties that experienced property damage or loss caused by storms and flooding between February 14 and March 4.

After 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, flood victims will have to seek assistance online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov/ or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362.

The deadline to register with FEMA is Thursday, July 5.
