Dillsboro Heritage Legacy Seek Public Assistance for Heritage Days Pop-Up Museum

A public meeting will take place this week to finalize the work place for the upcoming Heritage Days display.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) – The Dillsboro Heritage Legacy is dedicated to saving Dillsboro history one memory at a time.

The newly anointed non-profit organization will be setting goals, establishing committees, and finalizing the work plan for their upcoming Heritage Days Display on Thursday, August 10.

The meeting will take place at Town Hall starting at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.

Dillsboro Heritage Legacy is in the planning phase for the Heritage Days Pop-Up Museum which will be on display Saturday, September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The chosen theme is the history of the schools in the Dillsboro area.

Community members are encouraged to loan memorabilia from your school days – both public and parochial. That includes photos, Bulldog Tales, graduation programs, items from proms, plays, band, sports, etc.

Those willing to loan items are asked to place them in a box and drop them off at Town Hall. Boxes should be marked with your name, contact information, and school year(s) the items are from.

Dillsboro Heritage Legacy would like to collect as many items as possible by mid-August.

Volunteers are also needed to help create displays for Heritage Days.
