(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The next step in Lawrenceburg Civic Park expansion has been scheduled for next week.
The City of Lawrenceburg today announced that demolition of a property at the intersection of William and Short streets will begin Tuesday, May 16.
Construction activity will follow Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. through June 4.
The work will require partial closing of the public parking lot on Short Street across from Proof 124 Table & Tavern.
Bollards at the rear of the parking lot will be removed to allow for easier access to the parking lot during the partial closure.
The City of Lawrenceburg purchased the property at William and Short streets for $550,000. The property is being demolished to make way for an open-air type of structure that matches the architecture of the current Civic Park stage.
The structure would be used for the skating rink in the winter, the Farmers Market, outdoor art shows, and other events, in addition to additional restrooms.
