CINCINNATI – Death row inmate Jeffrey Wogenstahl is seeking a new trial after more than three decades since his conviction for killing a 10-year-old girl from Harrison.

Amber Garrett was kidnapped from her Harrison home in 1991 and was later found dead in Bright, Indiana.

Wogenstahl, 63, was found guilty of kidnapping and murder in 1993.

Hearings are taking place this week in Hamilton County, where Wogenstahl’s legal team are arguing that specific evidence was supressed during the original trial.

Hearings are expected to continue for multiple days.
