(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A heartwarming event is all set to make a difference in the lives of those in need while bringing the community closer together.

Dearborn County Young Professionals and the Community Project will host their 4th annual Drive Thru Food and Toy Drive on Sunday, December 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at FCN Bank in Lawrenceburg.

The event aims to collect a wide range of items to benefit the local community. Items needed include:

  • New and Unwrapped Toys: These will be sent to SIEOC’s Toys for Tots, serving children of southeastern Indiana.
  • Warming Essentials: Gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and hand warmers to help those in need stay warm during the cold winter months. These items will be distributed to the Community Blessing Boxes.
  • Canned Goods & Non-Perishable Items: These items will support both the Clearinghouse and the Blessing Boxes
  • Toiletries/Hygiene Items: These items will be used to fill Blessing Boxes.

“By participating in this event, you’re not only sharing the holiday spirit but also helping to alleviate the challenges faced by many local families,” reads a statement from Dearborn County Young Professionals. “Your donation, no matter how small, can bring joy to a child's face and provide warmth and sustenance to those in need.”
