(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry has filed for re-election.
McHenry filed his paperwork this week for re-election as a Republican candidate. He was first elected Dearborn County Sheriff in 2018.
“It’s hard the believe that it’s time already but here we are,” said McHenry. “Although the pandemic made it tough at times, we have been able to accomplish a lot in three years. It’s been an honor to serve the citizens of Dearborn County as their Sheriff and I would appreciate everyone’s support on May 3rd, 2022.”
McHenry is a lifelong resident of Dearborn County. He graduated from South Dearborn High School in 1995.
He was hired by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2001 as a Deputy. During his 20-plus year career, McHenry has served in various capacities with the Sheriff’s Office, including 13 years assigned to the Special Crimes Unit.
The primary election will take place Tuesday, May 3.
The general election is set for Tuesday, November 8.
