The Dearborn County Republican Party will hold a caucus on Wednesday, May 30.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Dearborn County Republicans will caucus to select a new candidate for county commissioner.
Dillsboro resident Jeff Hughes was uncontested on the ballot for county commissioner in District 3 in the May 8th Republican primary. Soon after the election, the Dearborn County GOP announced Hughes is moving out of state. For that reason, he cannot run for election in November.
The party will hold a caucus on Wednesday, May 30 to select a new Republican to run for the District 3 commissioner’s seat. The caucus will take place starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Henry Dearborn Meeting Room at the Dearborn County Government Center.
Interested individuals must file a Declaration of Candidacy form and financial statement form with the Dearborn County Clerk of Courts no less than 72 hours prior to the caucus. Copies should be provided to Dearborn County Republican Party Chairman Jim Thatcher. Candidates must reside in District 3, which includes much of southern Dearborn County.
