(Hebron, Ky.) – Airfares at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport remain the lowest in the region.
The U.S. Department of Transportation released its average airfare ranking report for third quarter 2019 on Wednesday.
According to the report, CVG had lower airfares than Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville and Dayton in the third quarter of 2019.
Among the top 100 domestic airports, CVG ranked #80 with an average fare of $314, nine percent below the national average of $345.
Regionally, Columbus and Indianapolis had the next best fare rates at $359 and $360, respectively.
CVG set monthly local passenger records 11 of the 12 months in 2019, with a new all-time record for local passengers (426,246) in June 2019.
Over the course of 2019, CVG served more than 9.1 million passengers.
