The fundraising total is in.

Event organizer Logan Lawrence announced this week that the 7th annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS raised $41,000. The fundraising total fell short of Lawrence's goal of $50,000. That can be attributed to inclement weather that passed over Lawrenceburg last Sunday morning, keeping some classic car owners away from the show.

"Huge thank you to everyone that came out despite the weather as this far exceeded my expectations I had Sunday morning," said Lawrence.

The Cruisin to a Cure for ALS has raised $213,000 in seven years for the ALS Association Indiana Chapter.

Proceeds go towards research and to help patients fighting ALS. The ALS Association has a goal of making the disease livable by the year 2030.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Despite early morning showers and storms, hundreds of cars still “poured” into downtown Lawrenceburg for a great cause.

The 7th annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS took place on Sunday.

Event organizer Logan Lawrence announced via Facebook that over 500 cars entered the show.

“This year’s show might have the biggest meaning yet for how much effort and struggles us and volunteers encountered with the weather, but we made it happen,” said Lawrence. “You all still delivered, and you have no idea how much it means to me that you still show support rain or shine, which I did not expect 100 cars when I woke up.”

Lawrence added that he will be taking a short break following the event before the fundraising total is released and a big check is presented to the ALS Association Indiana Chapter.
