(Aurora, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Recycling Center and CIVISTA Bank will host a Community Shred Day on Saturday, November 14, from 9am-12pm to celebrate America Recycles Day. The event will be held in the parking lot of the CIVISTA Bank at 7600 Frey Road, St. Leon, Indiana 47060.

A mobile shred truck will be available for Dearborn County Residents to shred their confidential documents for free. There is no limit of files for residents. Participants will be asked to remain in their vehicles, and to place boxes of files in the trunk or back of the vehicle where a volunteer can remove the items. The documents will be processed through an industrial bulk paper shredding truck, leaving confetti-sized pieces. The shredded paper will then be recycled.

Paper files to be shredded can be left in folders and envelopes, with paper clips and rubber bands still attached. Participants are asked to remove any cardboard, 3-ring binders, CDs, hard drives, plastics, and back-up tapes. Documents and files should be placed in boxes or paper bags.
