A free community event is scheduled for November 12.

(Cleves, Oh.) - The Life Center, in partnership with The Community Pantry at Whitewater, Whitewater Crossing Christian Church, and the 513Relief Bus is hosting a Community Resource Event on Wednesday, November 12.

The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Whitewater Crossing in Cleves.

This event aims to help local families who have been impacted by recent SNAP reductions by connecting them with essential food, health, and social service resources.

The partnership brings together trusted community organizations to provide both immediate relief and long-term solutions that promote stability and self-reliance for families in need.

On-site services and partners include:

  • The Community Pantry at Whitewater, in collaboration with The Free Store Food Bank: Distributing food resources such as meat, milk, eggs, and other protein rich foods.
  •  UC Health & Humana Health: Offering blood pressure screenings and basic health education
  • Talbert House Behavioral Health: Offering screenings for depression, anxiety, and substance use
  • Hamilton County Job & Family Services: SNAP, Medicaid, Child Support, Child Care, Workforce Development, Youth Employment Program, Checking and Processing Unclaimed Funds

“Together, we want to meet people where they are," said Jason Wessel, Executive Director at The Life Center. “Our goal is to make sure families in Cleves and surrounding communities have access to both the resources they need today and the support that helps them build a more stable tomorrow.”

The event is free and open to the public, with no registration required. Families are encouraged to attend, receive services, and connect with caring partners who can walk alongside them toward improved health and self-sufficiency, inspiring hope for a better future.
