City of Lawrenceburg to Open Emergency Shelter

This is in response to the upcoming weather forecast.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The City of Lawrenceburg is providing an Emergency Shelter in response to the upcoming forecast. 

The forecast calls lows to be at or below freezing all this week with snow possible on Tuesday. 

The emergency shelter will open today at noon at the Lawrenceburg Boy Scout Cabin, 461 W. High Street. Individuals or families in need will have access to a monitored warm shelter, a cot, a blanket and water until Tuesday, February 18 at 4:00 p.m.

It should be noted that there is limited parking availability at the Boy Scout Cabin. Also, no smoking or vaping is allowed inside the building or within eight feet of the entrance. Maximum capacity is eight.

At this time no organizational meetings or events are to be scheduled at the Scout Cabin during the Emergency Warming Center usage.
