City of Lawrenceburg to Open Emergency Cooling Shelter

Cots will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The City of Lawrenceburg, Indiana is providing an Emergency Cooling Shelter in response to the warm temperatures.

Individuals or families in need will have access to a monitored shelter by Lawrenceburg Police at the Lawrenceburg Boy Scout Cabin at 461 West High Street starting Saturday, June 21 at 8:00 a.m. through Friday, June 27 at noon. 

The shelter is first come, first served with nine cots available, including air conditioning, blankets and water.

Please note that there is limited parking availability at the Scout Cabin, also no smoking or vaping is allowed inside the building or within 6 feet of the entrance. Only trained service dogs are allowed, pets and emotional support animals do not qualify.
