(Batesville, Ind.) – It is Cherry Thing-a-Ling season.

Schmidt’s Bakery is selling the delicious treats now through Monday.

The bakery only makes the treats available the weekend of Presidents’ Day because of the folk tale that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree as a child.

It is not unusual for Schmidt’s Bakery to sell over 100,000 Cherry Thing-a-Lings in a weekend.

The tasty treats are available for in-store pickup from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through Monday.

Schmidt’s Bakery is also taking shipping orders through February 22. For more information, call 812-934-4501.
