Indiana driver's licenses are going black-and-white.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) -- Driver's licenses in Indiana will be getting a new design, available online and at all BMV branches by mid-July.
The new cards are Real ID-compliant and are also more durable and tamper-resistant.
Color photos will be replaced with black-and-white laser-engraved text and photos that reportedly work better with facial recognition technology. Driver's licenses will have an Indy-style race car in the background and state IDs will have a picture of a cardinal.
As is the case with Indiana's current license cards, drivers under the age of 18 will get a vertically-formatted card as opposed to the horizontal one that those 21 and over will receive.
