Casino Gaming Bill In Indiana House Ways & Means Tuesday

Senate Bill 552 may allow for some of the biggest changes in Indiana casino gaming in years.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - A lot of local folks will be keeping an eye on a casino gaming bill as it heads to a key hearing at the Indiana Statehouse Tuesday.

Senate Bill 552 deals with a number of gaming matters. One of them is the relocation of one of Indiana’s casino gaming licenses to a new casino proposed for Terre Haute.

Rising Star Casino owner Full House Resorts has voiced support for the bill which would create a competitive process for casino companies to submit bids for the Terre Haute opportunity.

SB 552 will be heard Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the House Ways and Means Committee, which will focus on tax and fiscal issues in the legislation.
