Captain Hartsburg Retires After 33 Years of Service

Hartsburg served the community for over 33 years.

(Lawrenceburg, IN) - After more than three decades of service, Captain Gaylord “Gator” Hartsburg is retiring from the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office. Hartsburg served the community for over 33 years, working his way through the ranks as a merit deputy, district commander, sergeant, and captain.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked him for his commitment and leadership, saying he will be greatly missed. Best wishes were extended to Captain Hartsburg as he begins his well-earned retirement.
