(Aurora, Ind.) – A broken tail light led police to make a methamphetamine bust in Aurora.

The traffic stop occurred on Sunday, June 10 after an Aurora Police officer noticed a busted tail light on a vehicle driven by Ronald L. Clark, 25. Clark had also failed to signal a turn just prior to the stop.

Officers searched the vehicle and men, turning up more than 34 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, numerous small individual plastic baggies, and $268 in cash.

Clark and his passenger, Byron L. Kaminska, 42, were each arrested on charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine More than 10 Grams (level 2 felony) and Conspiracy to Deal in Methamphetamine More than 10 Grams (level 2 felony).

Clark and Kaminska are each held in jail at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center. If convicted, they face between 10 and 30 years in prison.

“Of course, these men are innocent until proven guilty in Court,” said Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens. “However, this is a very serious case. We are committed to aggressive prosecution of these kinds of cases in an effort to get drugs out of our community. I want to thank the Aurora Police Department for the good police work that went into making these arrests.”
