Three Arrests Made After A Burglary Report In Union

(Union, Ky.) - Three individuals were arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in northern Kentucky. 10600 block of Secretariat Run.

Boone County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home on the 10600 block of Secretariat Run in Union around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.  

While finalizing the home burglary report, other officers were headed to the Motel 6 in Richwood for a disturbance call.

It was there that police located three suspect, Jacob Scudder, 18, and two juvenile males. Based on the descriptions provided, the officer believed that the parties from the disturbance call and burglary were connected. 

Scudder eventually fled the scene by foot through rough terrain.

The officer pursuing Scudder fell and broke his clavicle.

Scudder didn't make it far as he was arrested and charged with Burglary, Fleeing or Evading, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor and Theft by Unlawful Taking from Auto U/$500, and is being held at the Boone County Jail.

The other two individuals were charged with Burglary and Theft by Unlawful Taking from Auto U/$500. Both juveniles were released to their parents after being charged. 

In addition to the burglary investigation, officers learned that multiple vehicles in the same area had been broken into. Detectives have collected recovered property and are in the process of sorting through the evidence. 

This is an ongoing investigation to identify the owners of the property and follow up on previous reports from the area.
