Boone County is among three NKY counties to receive the award for impacting the economy through tourism.
(Boone County, Ky.) – Boone County has been recognized for significantly impacting the local economy through tourism.
Last week, Boone County was among three northern Kentucky counties to receive Economic Engine Awards from the Kentucky Travel Industry Association (KTIA), reports The River City News.
According to the KTIA, Boone County tourism creates more than 6,000 tourism jobs and generates over $1.69 billion in economic impact annually.
Boone County Judge Executive Gary Moore attributes marketing to the economic success within the county and state.
“Marketing Boone County not only brings visitors to our community and enhances life for our residents, but it positively affects our state as a whole,” said Moore.
Kenton and Campbell counties were also recognized by the KTIA.
