(Florence, Ky.) – The American Red Cross is urging individuals to give blood.
The Red Cross sees about a 21 percent decline in blood and platelet donations during holiday weeks, including Independence Day.
When blood donations drop, so does the blood supply, making it challenging to ensure blood is available when hospital need it.
An upcoming blood drive will take place on Tuesday, July 5 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Vineyard Church, 7101 Pleasant Valley Road in Florence.
