(Batesville, Ind.) - Batesville Community Education Foundation (BCEF) executive director Anne Wilson was elected a member of the board of directors of the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations (INAPEF) at the organization’s recent annual conference. Indiana’s public education foundations bring in more than $13 million annually to school districts across the state by raising private funds for public education.

Wilson and BCEF board member Ashley Walls attended the November 9 conference in Indianapolis, where representatives of 36 of the state’s public education foundations gathered to brainstorm and share ideas about raising funds and providing programming for their respective public school corporations.

A 1982 Batesville High School (BHS) graduate, Wilson has been serving as executive director at BCEF since 2015. Walls, a local realtor and BHS alumna, has been a BCEF board member since the beginning of 2020, where she serves on the marketing and alumni relations committees.

The Batesville Community Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides additional funding for innovative learning opportunities that go beyond the basics in academics, athletics, and the arts in the Batesville public schools, enhancing the educational environment for all students.
