(Batesville, Ind.) – A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Tuesday for the new Batesville Skatepark.
The groundbreaking is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at The Plex, 671 Pohlman Street.
The Batesville Area Skatepark Advocacy has partnered with the City of Batesville and Batesville Parks and Recreation to bring a skatepark to the community.
The 11,000 square foot park is a combination of transition and street with the potential to grow.
Plans for the surrounding area include a bike-oriented pump track, bouldering walls, and musical features.
The skatepark allows for easy access to Liberty Park and will be accessible by the trail system.
