Batesville Music & Arts Festival Cancelled Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

2021 festival dates will be announced in the near future.

(Batesville, Ind.) - On Monday, the Batesville Music & Arts Festival Committee announced that the 2020 Music & Arts Festival has been cancelled.

Based on an abundance of caution and in conjunction with Governor Holcomb's Back On Track Plan, the two-day festival scheduled for June 18-19 will be not be held.

This year's Music & Arts Festival would have marked the 47th consecutive year celebrating the arts, music and culture in the Batesville area.

Indiana's Back On Track plan recommends that large events such as festivals are to remain closed until July 4.

“We fully appreciate this annual festival that has been a summer tradition in our city,” said Mayor Mike Bettice. “Our top priority is to protect our citizens and feel it is necessary at this time to postpone the Music & Arts Festival but fully expect to renew it in 2021.”

The festival was scheduled to include the Batesville Area Arts Council, Miss Shannon’s Music Studio Children’s Music Show, Eureka Band, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Five Lights Band, WRBI and local restaurants.

2021 festival dates will be announced in the near future.
