(Osgood, Ind.) – The 11th annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest was held last week at Jac-Cen-Del High School.
This year’s Rube Goldberg machines were challenged to “Open a Book” with a minimum of 15 steps for Division I and a minimum of 20 steps for Division II, and a maximum of 75 steps in each division.
Seven teams competed across the two divisions.
This year’s Division I winner is Batesville Middle School. St. Louis Catholic School placed second, followed by Salem Middle School.
Batesville Middle School also received honors for the Best Literacy Theme.
In Division II, Anderson High School was the champion. Ripley County Engineering Academy placed second with Batesville High School coming in third.
Other awards included Most Innovative Way to Start a Machine (St. Louis Catholic School), and Best Use of a Robot (Anderson High School).
