(Aurora, Ind.) - An Aurora town staple will soon have a new home.
The caboose, which has long sat near next to the George Street bridge, will soon sit by the Aurora Public Library depot. There, it will be used as an exhibit space and a story time venue.
The caboose is being moved to get a facelift before returning in 2026.
According to the Aurora Public Library, the project is thanks to Pat Meyer and his family, S & S Excavation, and Aurora Public Library Foundation.
