AUDIO: St. Elizabeth Healthcare to Host 3rd Annual Health Fair

(Greendale, Ind.) - For the third year in a row, St. Elizabeth Healthcare will host a free community health fair for Indiana families. 

The Dearborn County Health Fair takes place on Saturday, September 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Healthcare's Primary Care facility on Flossie Drive in Greendale.

St. Elizabeth and community partners will provide no-cost health screenings and resources including: 

  • Blood pressure/BMI screening
  • Diabetic foot screening
  • Healthy eating demonstrations
  • Balance screening
  • Mobile Mammography
  • Hands-free CPR demonstrations
  • Information on health care and mental health services
  • Activities for kids and families
  • Insurance navigation consults
  • Local police and fire
  • Raffles, music, Troublemakers food truck and more

Registration is not required to attend this event. However, pre-registration is required for mobile mammography by calling 877-424-5750. 

The St. Elizabeth Mobile Mammography Unit offers digital mammography screening and tomosynthesis (3D mammography) in a private, comfortable setting for women aged 40 and over. The screening typically takes about 10 minutes and is covered by insurance. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. 

The health fair will also feature the Dearborn County Clearinghouse and the Freestore Food Bank. Each have partnered with St. Elizabeth Healthcare to offer free food items and healthy cooking information to attendees. Food items will be available to the public on a first-come-first-served basis.
