AUDIO: Greendale Residents Can Share Their Vision For The City

(Greendale, Ind.) – Greendale residents can have a say in the direction of their city’s future.

The city is currently developing an update to the Greendale Comprehensive Plan, a document which helps guide community leaders and decision makers in areas including infrastructure, land development, parks, housing, and more.

Mayor Alan Weiss says a public input meeting workshop will be held Tuesday, September 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Greendale Cabin, 827 Nowlin Avenue.

“I want to know what the citizens of Greendale want the future of their city to be like. This is not a complaint session. It is an idea session, so we are looking for positive ideas,” Weiss said on Eagle Country 99.3 Friday.

During his radio appearance, Weiss also discussed a new kayak launching ramp on Tanners Creek at Greendale Park.

“We have a couple, they parked one car at the Lawrenceburg launch site on Tanners Creek, then they brought their kayaks up to Greendale, so they floated on down the Lawrenceburg launch site,” Weiss related.

The paved launching ramp is accessible from the parking lot at Greendale Pool.
