Arrests Made in Connection with Drive-By Shooting

The incident took place on November 9.

(Jennings County, Ind.) – Three suspects have been arrested in connection to a drive by shooting.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in Campbell Township on Saturday, November 9 in response to a reported drive-by-shooting.

Detectives determined that several rounds struck an occupied vehicle, an occupied outbuilding, and a residence where six individuals were inside asleep.

While identifying the crime scene, investigators identified a gray Chevy Malibu as a suspect vehicle. The vehicle was located by officers from the North Vernon Police Department and a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver, Bradley Pike, 18, of Crothersville, and passenger, Waylon Baker, 18, of Columbus, were taken into custody. Both firearms believed to have been used in the shooting were recovered during the traffic stop.

The case progressed, detectives identified a third suspect, Caden Kinser (18) of Seymour, IN. Kinser was apprehended on November 14th during a coordinated operation conducted by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office in the town of North Vernon.

Kinser, Baker, and Pike all face preliminary charges of Criminal Recklessness – Shooting a Firearm into an Inhabited Dwelling a level- 5 felony. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

No injuries were reported.
