(Williamstown, Ky.) - The Ark Encounter theme park in northern Kentucky is preparing to celebrate four years in business.

The park off of Interstate 75 in Williamstown brags a 510-foot replica of Noah’s Ark as its centerpiece. It will celebrate its third anniversary on July 7.

Ken Ham, CEO of park operator Answers in Genesis, says Ark Encounter continues to see increases in attendance since it opened in 2016.

“I’m very pleased to report that while most attractions see their best attendance in year one and then experience a drop-off, we’ve seen the opposite. We’ve experienced another increase in yearly attendance at the Ark Encounter,” said Ham.

Recently, the theme park added a 2,500-seat auditorium, an expanded zoo, and a new family play area accessible to children of all abilities.

Ham says the Creation Museum in Petersburg, which is another of AiG’s ministries, has seen its highest attendance in 12 years - the museum off of I-275 has brought in more than four million visitors. AiG credits the addition of a 4D theater last year. New museum exhibits are due to be unveiled later this year.
